North Union United Soccer Club

All Presidents Cup games will take place at Lehigh County Fields on Sunday, May 13, 2012.  The time is yet to be determined, but it should be quite a game.  Wish our High School boys good luck !

Winners of the Presidents Cup will represent Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer at the President’s Cup Regional competition on May 25-28, 2012 in Londonderry, New Hampshire. The winners of the Presidents Cup Region I competition would then go on to play in the Presidents Cup National Championships on July 11-15, 2012 in Sacramento, California.

The boys of the Santos '94 U17 team, coached by Shawn Callender, dominated every summer tournament they attended in 2011 - being a finalist in each competition they participated in.

Each boy took a break from Santos in the fall to participate in their own High School soccer team, and each excelled, with several making the District All Star teams, District championship teams, and many being written up in the newspapers weekly.  Santos '94 is a team made of up the best of each High School team around us !

Over the summer, their ranking in the state of PA moved from #56 to #20, and they hope to keep moving that number up, as they start to work again this spring and Coach starts to prepare the boys for college looks.  College Showcase tournaments are on the schedule, as Coach Callender does his best to prepare these boys to do what they do best at the next level.  Keep watching to see just how far these boys go !

As many of our boys are now Juniors in High School, not all, but many...  this will be our College Profile season, where our boys who are hoping to play soccer in college are out to be seen by as many college coaches as they can.  We'll be attending mostly College Profile Tournaments, where coaches from colleges will be lining the sidelines with notebooks and pens - hopefully making some good remarks about our boys.  Coach Callender has been busy writing letters of recomendation to many college coaches for his boys, and for that we are so grateful to him, telling them what he knows about "his boys", and how they can be an asset to a college team, once they grow from NUU... hopefully taking with them all that he has taught them.  It's a bittersweet year for the soccermoms, and the boys!   Go Santos!!!!!
