In the first round of the NCS State Cup the 98 Cannons played the YMS Inferno.  It was a well played match by both teams with the Cannons prevailing in the second over time by a score of 2-1.

The 98 Cannons advanced to play FC Europa in the round of eight. The teams have played each other four times previously with each team winning once by one goal while the other games were ties.  The chances of another close game were high.  After regulation and two 10 minute overtimes the score was still 0-0.  The game would be decided on penalty kicks.  FC Europa prevailed to advance to the semi finals.  Congratulations to FC Europa for advancing as well as to the Cannons for a game well played.

The 98 Cannons played well at the EPYSA Indoor State Cup at the Wyoming Valley Sports Dome finishing the day with two wins and one tie.  The Cannons defeated LDC United in the first game and followed that up with a win against FC Revolution.  The third game was against PA Classics Panthers Revolution (currently ranked #1 in PA East) with the winner advancing to the final.  It was a well played match by both teams.  The final score was 1-1.  Based on Goal differential PA CLassics advanced to the final where they defeated USTA for the Championship.  Congratulations to our friends from PA Classics on their cahmpionship and congratulations to the Cannons for their great effort.
